Leather craft has been immersed in Spain’s tradition for centuries. Over time, Granada developed its own unique style and technique. Every leather item created in our studio is the result of more than twenty years of research and practice in the techniques used in Granada’s traditional leather tooling and polychroming.

Our study of ancient designs as well as our use of traditional tools places each item well within the leather tradition of Andalucía, Spain; a rich but dying craft.

The skin used on our pieces is naturally cured cowhide, which is free of any artificial
manipulation other than that necessitated by the curing process. This permits the hide to be worked without limitation.

The resulting effects and finishes are unique to each article.

The sebka, in architecture, is a decorative element shaped oblique grid, as a rhomboidal geometric interlacing, covering walls, arches, baseboards, etc., characteristic of Islamic art. It is usually formed with ceramic pieces,
creating lobed forms or curves. Usually it organized as a panel that compartmentalize the space, called paños de sebka (sebka cloths). This ornamental motif was born and spread during Almohad period, and continued to be used mainly in the Christian, Nazari and Mudejar art.

They can be seen in the Almohad Giralda in Seville or the Alhambra in Granada.
